Amasokolara FC Shirt by Takeru Amano

    £60.00

Japanese artist Takeru Amano teamed up with Patterns of Play to create the first team kit in ‘The Balls Project’ series for Amasokolara FC – a grassroots football team from the township of Alexandra in Johannesburg, South Africa.

We worked closely with Takeru to design the kit, taking inspiration from his famous graffiti styled artwork. Takeru created custom sprayed pieces for us in his Tokyo studio, featuring a reimagined interpretation of the team crest, our POP logo and a set of individual squad numbers. Again we will be putting a chunk of the profits back towards supporting the team. We’re calling this the second half.

    Regular fit short sleeve shirt
Sublimation print on micro knit fabric
    100% polyester, ultra-soft luxe
    Ribbed crew neck
    Made in Poland

Machine wash inside out on a cold cycle. Do not tumble dry.

Please note: This shirt comes with hand sprayed number 7 on the reverse, a number widely considered lucky in Japanese culture. Each shirt comes with a certificate of authenticity.
